Ally Sheedy
Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (born June 13 1962) is an American actress. Her film debut was in Bad Boys (1983). After that she enrolled in the Bratpack and starred on screen in WarGames (1983) The Breakfast Club(1985) and Short Circuit (1986). Sheedy was awarded an Independent Spirit Award Best Female Actress for her part in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998). Ally Sheedy was born in the US and is a performer as well as an writer. She began her acting career by appearing in the crime movie Bad Boys at the beginning of the 1980s. In the film, which was directed by Rick Rosenthal, other well-known actors like Sean Penn Esai Morales Clancy Brown and Alan Ruck also appeared. In 1985, after her success in a movie, the actress appeared in The Breakfast Club - a comedy/drama. John Hughes' film, written by him, was one of history's greatest high-school films. Despite a budget of only $1 million, the movie's revenues exceeded $50 million. As she worked on the show, her debut on television took place on CBS Schoolbreak. It was a show for teenagers and began airing in April 1980. Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid as well as Hill Street Blues are other television shows in which she appeared. Recent appearances include Little Sister, a film that follows a super-hero, with Sheedy as a small cameo. Sheedy has been awarded numerous times for her outstanding performances, among them the MTV Movie Award Silver Bucket of Excellence Award.
